A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Angel Peabody

Angel Peabody is a naturally shy introvert and comedy writer whose years as a high school science teacher working with inner city youth became the impetus for creating workshops and programs to help those who are quiet and shy to express themselves in social settings.

Growing up shy, as the youngest of four children in a boisterous Italian-American family, Angel knew the pains, fears and consequences of being too quiet in a loud world . 'Closed-in' feelings,  a distorted self image and deteriorating self esteem can often times take root  when someone holds back, silently choosing not to express themselves.

Fast-forward into adulthood, Angel began her teaching career by working with international high school students as a one-to-one tutor while also writing scripted comedies and comedy shorts. Then, she switched schools, and was placed as a classroom science teacher to a tough population of inner city teens. The challenge became 'sink or swim' for her gentle, introverted self.   It was then that she sought out, adopted and created ways to break free of her own shyness in order to be an effective teacher.

Angel believes in the use of comedy to heal wounds of self expression. Her 'Make Yourself Laugh w/the Talkative Introvert' program series is a unique system she designed over 4 years. It uses scientfically proven therapies and trainings while also guiding students to discover what makes them laugh in daily life, and how to nurture one's own individual sense of humor.
